WHO?

Cherrywood Art Fair is a production of CHULA LEAGUE, an East Austin Texas non-profit. Proceeds benefit the arts and artful landscape in East Austin, and in particular the arts and gardening programs at Maplewood Elementary.

WHAT?

Cherrywood Art Fair is:

Juried: only 80 artists are chosen based on the quality and variety of their work.

Original: only original art, no imports, no junk, no kidding.

Free: admission free, wholesome fun from start to finish.

Family: organizers, volunteers, artists, and musicians pull together to produce the best holiday Fair in Austin.

WHEN?

Saturday, December 11 from 10 to 6

Sunday, December 12 from noon to 6.

Cherrywood Art Fair has been on the second weekend of December for eight consecutive years.

Save the date, invite your friends! Plan to come both days--The magnificent silent auction, always a blowout of bargains and finds, has different items on Saturday and Sunday.

WHERE?

Cherrywood Art Fair is located at Maplewood Elementary School, 3808 Maplewood Avenue, Austin, Texas at the corner of 38 1/2 Street and Maplewood Avenue.

WHY?

Cherrywood Art Fair began in 2002 as a tiny neighborhood event designed to bring shoppers looking for quality original art together with artists who needed a venue to reach their audience. We've grown into one of Austin's most popular and well regarded art shows, a stand-out holiday event.

WHY?

But that's not all...there's a mission behind the Fair. Our proceeds are used to support public art and beautification projects in East Austin, through our non-profit producer, CHULA League. A chunk of that money directly benefits the arts and gardening programs at Maplewood Elementary School.

WHY?

AND, one of the highlights of the Fair is the Little Artist/Big Artist experience that allows Cherrywood Art Fair artists to mentor Maplewood Art Students in a mutual learning experience. Student artists get to experience the creative process from idea to realization! What a great reason to have an Art Fair!
